TGIF - Whatcha Up To?

Happy Valentine's Day~~ Will you be my Valentine? :)
The hubs and I are staying in. We made plans to celebrate tomorrow, Saturday instead.  Yes, we've been together long enough to treat Valentine's Day with a grain of practicality and measured excitement. 

So, here's what's on my mind this weekend: 

• Valentine Day's dinner - Nutella with raspberry crepes; 
• Saturday date nite at Serpico, a new place for us; 
• Get girly with my new make-up palette Naked 3 (I finally caved into hype and decided to give this a try after looking at a very old and tired 4 color palette I got from MAC like 3 or 4 years ago!); 
• I literally spritzed out the last drop of Jo Malone's Nectarine Blossom & Honey scent, so I'm desperately waiting for the Rose perfume to be delivered any day now;  
• I can't get enough of the terrarium trend - I'm eying West Elm's gold trimmed terrarium; and
• I also can't get enough of minimalism trend - I mean just looking at this sophisticated black, white & green combo and I am encouraged to purge everything I haven't touched for the last 3 months out the window and start fresh!

TGIF - Whatcha Up To?

TGIF!!! It's been one cold and at times, treacherous week in the suburbs of Philly. We've had to deal with pounds of snow and icy conditions for days. Even the local court house closed twice and that's like never happened as long as I've lived in this area!!  Well, we made it to the finish line, aka Friday, so let's live it up!

This weekend...

• I may take the plunge and treat ma-self to this Madewell tote. 
• I'm also eyeing this $60 H&M quilted faux leather jacket for spring (if it'll just get here already). 
• I will try my darnest to eat healthier b/c the winter pounds are seriously not cute!! This edamame & corn salad is definitely a good start!
• I need to start planning for Valentine's Day - you know, something sweet for my hubs. (And for me too? Like this pretty bowl. (sold out online but I bet the store has it!)
• Read up on these recently discovered exquisite blogs: Upperlyne and Flourish Design and Style.  Their Instagrams also provide major inspiration on all things gorgeous and practical.  My kinda gals!!

TGIF - Whatcha Up To?

OMG - the weekend is finally here!! TGIF at last!
This week felt really long and laborious.  Perhaps it was the combination of my getting over the cold and anticipation of preparing for Thanksgiving Day.  I have two shopping lists: one for this weekend for things that won't go bad, another for the day before Thanksgiving for things that need to be super fresh. My plan is to get the shopping done EARLY in the morning to beat the crowd.  Wish me luck!!

• How beautiful is this modern meets classic table setting by  Sara from A Dose of Pretty? I'm totally smitten. 
• I take lots of photos of food. This beautiful print of veggies is so inspiring, right?!
• How lucky is this cat?  His mommy's DIY table to bed project is just too adorable and functional at the same time. 
• To say I'm "obsessed" with this Asta rug from Grandiflora is putting it mildly.  Honey?  Are you reading this?  
• Roasted artichokes? Yes, Yes, Yes!
• One day, my baking will expand to making Ricotta cheesecake. I love cheesecake but adding ricotta cheese?? OMG - fuhgettaboutit! I'm there!
